Neutering North Korea's EMP Threat; Making the US Power Grid Impervious Is Achievable

This power grid design is particularly vulnerable to electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack. A well placed air burst can overwhelm this infrastructure, burn out the transformers and plunge the eastern US into a dark nightmare that will take the better part of a decade to recover from. It's an existential threat.
