A new trend in cybercrime is the exploitation of multiple vulnerabilities by IoT botnets. Earlier, they exploited a single vulnerability. The multi-vector approach is harder to fight. This was the pattern observed in the attacks by IoT botnets like Reaper and Hajime, according to cyber security firm, Fortinet.
